Declutter Checklist

This checklist breaks decluttering into manageable, room-by-room chunks. Each room comes pre-filled with the items and zones most likely to accumulate clutter, so you spend your energy sorting instead of remembering what to sort.

1. Work one room at a time: Expand a room to see its suggested items. Tackling a single space start-to-finish is far less overwhelming than roaming the whole house.
2. Evaluate each item: For every suggestion, decide whether to keep, donate, sell, or discard it, then check the box once that area is handled.
3. Watch your progress: Each room shows its own mini progress bar, and the bar at the top tracks your overall percentage across every room.
4. Customize freely: Add your own items to any room, or add entirely new rooms for spaces unique to your home.

A simple decision rule

When you are unsure about an item, ask: have I used it in the last year, would I buy it again today, and does it earn the space it takes up? If the answer is no to all three, it is a strong candidate to let go.

Where your data lives

Your checked items and any custom rooms or items are stored entirely on your device using the browser's localStorage; nothing is uploaded to a server and no account is needed. Progress persists between visits on the same browser. Use Reset to start over, which clears all progress and restores the default room list.
